Hello, Linnette; RE city driving and your clutch:
I have been running bikes of all makes in a populated city area of Western PA, (Pittsburgh, Beaver Valley) for about 50 years now, and I have never yet worn out a clutch on any bike. I have had dry clutches on old Harleys, wet clutches on English bikes and Japanese. In my own opinion, the worst wear occurs from slipping the clutch badly, as in drag racing. The Savage is one of the very best bikes for starting out from a stop,it has such great torque that you need very little slippage to get started. Just ride "normal" and you will probably never see the end of your clutch. Frank
